Dr Cathy Zhang is a board-certified Toronto-based physician, and has developed a keen interest in investing, especially in the private equity sector. Cathy’s been supporting health startups as an advisor, angel investor or through angel syndicates and venture funds, both in Toronto and Silicon Valley. She also invests in private equity real estate.

Cathy also has an interest in global health which has led her to work at the World Health Organization HQ in Geneva, and to subsequently serve as a consultant in global health to academic institutions, and to help chair, organize, and lead international conference sessions endorsed by the United Nations (UN).

Cathy is a clinical lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto and earned her Medical Doctor and Master of Surgery (MD,CM) from McGill University.
